Not primitive archery but a great time in Wyoming this year. Four tags, Four kills, Four days. It doesn't get any better than that. Also got to make a new friend.
Here are some pics.

On the contrary, sir, THAT particular antelope is going mighty easy on my plate! The front shoulders are now Cajun pepperstix, straps are cut into 1.5 lb roasts, and much of the hindquarters are in the brine being corned. Again, Knapper, thank you very kindly for some wonderful dinner fixins. Can't wait to see you this spring for some Merriams Madness!

Way to whet my appetite!! Haven't been out that way in about 18 years, so I haven't had the privilege of indulging in fresh speed goat for a while. Not many here in SC! Always found the horns and antlers of any critter tough eatin, but good for showing off!
I'm picturing those mulies right next to mashed potatoes, fresh greens, and gravy drippings...now I gotta go eat something!
Great job!

Knapper and his buddy, Carroll, are a coupla great guys. But they got me wanting to hunt antelope in a bad way again. We have virtually none left in SD after a couple bad winters. At least now I know there are antelope just 80 minutes west of me in Wyoming.
Maybe you need to make plans to come on up next fall, FFW. We will beg and plead Knapper to guide us!

My son is looking at Boise St for college this fall, so maybe I can talk the spousal unit into a little detour!!
When I was in Colorado mid-90's, there were plenty of 'em. Stinks to hear your population took a hit. I loved it when I took trips to the big-sky country. Growing up in Maine, it was truly an awe-inspiring sight to see the wide range of landscapes and wildlife. Got to get back that way sometime.
