Title: One down early
Post by: Lee Lobbestael on October 06, 2013, 11:14:14 pm: Hey guys! Got this doe saturday morn here in Michigan from an old wood stand behind my house. She stopped at about 18 yards and I let her have it! It was raining and the minute after I shot her it turned into a downpour so there wasn't much blood. But I saw where she headed and was confident she wasn't going far! I was using a little 4 osage selfbow I made this spring. 61" ntn 43#@28". The arrow was a birch dowel with a stohs 160 grain head. It almost got a pass through but it hung up on the feathers. I was pleased and relieved to fill the freezer back up and now I can concentrate on a turkey and a buck!

Paas through with a 43 # bow you can't ask for much more than that.

Amassing what a shape head can do.

Yup, she sorta lost steam and couldn't hold pressure, then the fire went out.
