I had yew stave not best quality, a lot of small knots, bad colour on sapwood. I make relfex wit hot steam , paint ugly back and give thin sinew backing. Stave dry about year in reflex. Last week I work on this stave. Unexpecting results - bow keep big reflex - about 1 minut in full draw, after unstringing 2 inch reflex , few minuts in rest about 3 inch reflex. 115 lb at 30" , 75" NTN , crazy string tension. Shame that it is too strong for me. I expect see it in action on polish flight championship in next year, I think few records could be broken

Awesome!

I think many people start bending on their sinew too early, not letting it cure fully before putting it to the test. A year of curing never caused a bow to fail! She's a beauty, Lukasz.
Always love to see your work! Let us know how she shoots next year at the flight competition!

Very cool! A sinew backed warbow! Did you have any trouble tillering it? I had a big problem with lateral stability on a reflexed warbow stave. It continuously wanted to roll over at low brace.

I get the same thing. I just don't low brace it. I longstring tiller the stave in front of a big long mirror (as it would not work on a tiller tree) until I am satisfied a full 6" brace would be possible, and then brace it and go from there. That's how I handle that problem at least.

Yes I had problems with twisting limbs and made a lot of corrects with heating gun. Now is ok with 6 inch BH.

Absolutely beautiful! 8) You certainly are the artisan with your bows! ;) You have achieved some miraculous bends in that wood! :o That would be a bow an Elf would be proud to carry! ;D
that should send the Orcs out of the area! ;) ;D ;D Beautiful work!

Lukasz;
I always enjoy seeing your bows, that one is a beauty. And, I think I could probably pull it back.
