Title: bamboo question

This bamboo is 1 1/2" x 72".     there is a thin area (less than 1/16")to the right of the node  and it is 1/8" to the left of  the node. this is the only spot that is thin, is this a problem or am i nit picking?? that section of the bamboo is not thin,just the edge.

you've got to reduce it down anyway
