I was wondering if anybody has tried this, same idea as the Bow-Bolt System, but with easily attainable, cheaper hardware. Probably not as bomb-proof as a sleeve, but I was just wondering.
Essentially a threaded insert in one side of the riser, a bolt in the other, and screwing the two pieces together. I'm thinking splitting would be an issue with a natural wood riser, unlike the phelnoic used in f-glass bows.

I know Jim Davis has done some but not sure of his handle here. He goes by his name on another site. It looks to be a pretty good system and I'm thinking he uses it on 50# bows.
