Title: looking for some hill cane
Post by: paulsemp on September 13, 2013, 12:06:57 pm
I've been getting frustrated looking for quality cane shafts in my area. after seeing pearly boys hill cane, I would love a shot to try some. does not have to be straightened or seasoned, I don't mind doing the work.  looking for a dozen or so. Have staves and other stuff.

Sleek - don't know the difference but from what I've seen had my heart set on hill cane.

Pat - I will look you up in a few months, thanks.

I have 3 dozen pieces of tonkin bamboo shafting that I received in trade from mullet. I'd be happy to offer that if you're interested. You'll still need to straighten the shafts and sand the nodes. Mullet said they'd make shafts that spine in the 55-65 pound range, if my memory serves me.
