I drew a coveted Any Deer Muzzleloading tag after hunting muzzleloader for about 10 years.  Now I am not going to play cards, cross streets without looking both ways twice, or anything that may use up any luck I may have coming to me. I am going to eat all my vegetables, say my prayers, go to bed early, and be respectful of my elders.
Considering I am in the final stages of rebuilding my first flintlock, the timing is wonderful...to say the least.
A friend of mine says he may be able to get me out to some public land down in the Badlands where some monster mulies are found, plus I have permission to hunt a nice little private spot where an amazing whitetail buck has been bedding (I also can hunt that buck with a bow).  This could be a wonderful year for me.  Oh boy oh boy!  I ain't gonna sleep well tonite, I can tell.

Oh JW, forgot to mention. Ole ugly is lucky. I carved it with a knife forged on a horse shoe, quenched in the waters of the fountain of youth, and sharpened by the same stone used to sharpen Paul Bunyans mighty ax. The tree of the bow is a sappling from an enchanted elvish forest full of elms. It had rub marks on it from a unicorn. I know it was a unicorn cause the skittle scat layin round. String is woven from the tail of Babe, Pauls mighty ox. It was heat treated over the fire of the burning ashes of a Phoenix.  I faced north the entire time making it and drew it back to shoot its first arrow under the constelation Orion, the mighty hunter. As a last touch a leprechaun diped into the flowing rainbow to seal it.  And leprechauns are hard to find. Thats how come I was late finishing it. So you might be having some luck.

The season lasts 6 wks, but only the first two weeks allow me to take a buck.  After every possible way of hunting and harrassing deer has passed, I get to hunt 'em.  Yeah, no presure on me, lots on the bucks!
