Here is the trade arrow I will be sending out soon plus an extra, a spiral fluflu blunt. The trade arrow is self nocked sourwood with scorched pattern, turkey tail Eastern Woodland 2fletch and a trade point made by me. The point is hafted with pitch glue and sinew wrap. The fletching is held on with sinew wrap, fore and aft. All sinew wrap and shafts are sealed with pitch varnish.
The bonus is a double spiral fluflu on a black walnut shaft(turned by Ken75). Ken left one end square where he chucked the shaft in a drill as he fed it through the dowel cutter. I rounded over the edges, cut a groove around the blunt and reinforced it with sinew. The fletching is only secured fore and aft(no glue) with sinew wrap.
I still need to shoot these so it will be a few more days before they go out to...... ::)

very nice Pat.i so want to put those in my quiver.
-
Beautiful arrows as usual Pat. Those blunts you make fantastic and really pack a punch!
-
Thanks guys. Its been a while since I built an arrow so I appreciate having to do these for the trade. Lately I've needed the extra push of a trade to get my juices flowing. ::)
Rich, I've always liked a loose nock fit. The "fishtail" nock is a natural part of that. Old school I guess. ;)
Steve, these two arrows are called for but I'm sure we can work something out. ;)
I still have to shoot these arrows. Heck, they might be kindling and I'll have to make another. :-\

Sweet! Those arrows fit your personality to a "T" Pat. As they should!
-
Couple sweet ones there Pat, I'd hunt with those any day. That flu flu blunt would keep me occupied trying to thump a squirrel while waiting for a deer to come along to shoot with the two fletch trade point arrow. ;D

Nice set Pat! I feel the same about the trade, needed it to get back on top of my arrow makin. dp

Very nice, Pat. You can see you put a lot of love in your work. BDan
