I've thought about this since I removed this snake from my chicken coop and I've decided I would rather see this skin on someone else's 70+ inch bow than I would see it cut down for one of my 60-64 inch bow. Big guys like this just don't show up that often and it would be a shame to shorten it.
What I'd like in trade is some knapping tools, especially boppers, pressure flaker (I would like antler flaker). I have no knapping tools, so if you could hook me up to get me started that would be great.
Oh, and you have to post pic of the bow with the snake skin.

That is awesome! I wish I was a knapper!
I don't think I've ever seen a snake skin on an ELB, that would be pretty sweet :)

Man wished I had some tools, all my got gone or worn out for some reason ;)

That's a heck of a skin Dave! Did you wrestle him out of the coup? I'm imagining it wrapping you up like a boa and fighting to the death. You are very close to some rock Dave. You can find some potato flint in estill county it's loaded in the creeks it's fractured a lot and tough stuff but would be good to bang around on starting off. Would make good tough hunting points too. You may have it in Madison county too it's green and in nodular form. Sorry for the high jack Dave

Sorry for the delay, I'm on vacation. The trade is made.
Tracy, you bet I'll be on the knapping tarp. I'll need the lessons. :)
