Hi guys,
Here is a bow that I made for a good friend of mine in exchange for his help cutting some osage last year. I got the stave from Marty at the Maryjam in Feb. This bow was probably the hardest to tiller to date. It has that rippling "sand dune" effect on the back that made getting a consistant taper insanely hard. But it turned out quite well and shoots hard and fast with almost no handshock or sound. 65" ntn 47#@29". I lightly heat tempered the belly because I really like the way it brings out the grain. The ink drawings are of his tattoos he wanted on the bow. Tips are ebony. Thanks for looking, Cody

-
Your bows consistantly impress me. Excellent.
-
Ok hold up. I've looked at this thread several times and it really a pretty bow and I love the artwork, tip and the whole package but I just reread it and something hit me.
He has a porcupine tattoo?? Do you know the story behind it and I'd like to see a pic or the actual tattoo because the drawing on the bow is fantastic.
-
Cody,
What a bow! This ones a real looker. The craftsmanship is sweet. I appreciate a bow that is just classy enough and not overdone as this one is. I like the way the skin stops several inches short of the tips. Speaking of the tips, they are beautiful in and of themselves. The art work is very tasteful. I'll cover all of my bases and say that the leather handle wrap is the finishing touch and shold make all of the cats purr.
Now that I've rambled on a while I'll let you know that I don't make public postings with my mailing address so if you will PM me I'll let you know where to send her and you can let me know where to send the check for the shipping cost.

Cody,
What a great talent, the lines of the bow are beautiful and the workmanship is top notch. Art work sets the bow in a class by itself. Thanks for sharing your bow with us.
