A particular Dave sent me a box of rocks recently and asked me to see what I could make. I told him "would do my best..." So after heatin them a bit I hit on them to see how they would work. The (Burlington) and Georgetown worked the best. The dalton looks like rhyolite and it wasnt quite as easy to work.

I enjoy the challenge of trying different rocks to test my skills and broaden my experiences (unlike a certain "rock princess" I know) ::) :o ;D

Nice look'n points..............one of these days Im going to make time to try doing some of that knapping stuff.

Great job Scott! Beautiful points. Scott you may be right about that grainy grey stuff being rhyolite..
Dave is that some of that stone I sent you a couple of years ago?

Cipriano, it might be, but I thought I turned all your rock to rubble. ;) I got a couple points from it, but they were all too fat, too small, and not very sharp. Pretty much use less for arrowheads.
