Anyone have or seen this from 1987? Thinking about getting one that I found online and wanted to get some opinions first.
Thank you,
Tracy

It's probably a little out of date but I've seen a couple reviews that say it's pretty good. If you can get it at a good price then go for it. I would buy one myself but I've got a ton of books on the subject already.

I have it and love it! Really informative

Thank you Patrick and Will for the input. I would like to look at it first but can't seem to find anyone close that has one. It sounds like it is a really good resource.

I agree I think it is a really great book. Had I read it when I was acquiring my addiction, I could have saved a lot of time & stone. Tower

If you can get it I would. It is not out of date by any means. Val did all the artwork and the book is worth getting just for that reason alone. Nobody ever did drawings of lithics like Val Waldorf did. She was the master.

Thanks for the input Tower and Chief Deer! I agree, love her artwork. Wish I would of got into knapping earlier in life and met a lot of people that restored the skill.
I'm going to add it to my references soon.

TRACY; Why not just give him a call. The poster is still only $12.00 new. And he'll even sign it for you.
I have all his books and dvd's they're very good, but I know he still has posters, if you want one.

Story in Stone is a book about about three quarters of an inch thick. The poster you are speaking of is a poster of the best points out of the book and is titled The Best Of Story In Stone. The books have been out of print and sold out for years and very difficult to obtain today. I have one I got about ten years ago and haven't seen but a couple since.
