Title: Elm Take Down
Post by: tallpine on July 20, 2013, 05:31:30 pm
I have been lurking here for quite a while, I thought it was time that I introduced my self and post a bow that I built with some of the valuable information that I have gleaned here on P.A. This bow is White Elm. 60 inches n to n. pulls 47@ 27. Raw hide backed. Rattan wrapped grip with a floppy rest, takedown sleeve is homemade, cold forged from Hurricane fence pipe. Finish is leather die and Tung oil. The tiller is a little off on the lower limb but it shoots so good and is so well behaved, I think I will just leave it as it is. This bow has excellent cast is my best bow to date. Thanks guys for all the help. Dan (http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/z424/Roconman/ElmTakeDown001.jpg)
