Title: has any one heard of making arows from cattails

once i was watching some show on the hunting channel and there was mention of making arrows from old dried cattails  info?

I wouldnt waste my time on them , you might be able to shoot them once and they would wreck out. You have all kinds of wood in your country that would work better, do you have any rivercane?    Trapper

there is some sort of cane growing near my house I'll get some pictures to post in the near future.
