I've been wondering lately on why there isn't a leatherworking section on pa? I mean there must've been archery equipment made from leather ie( arm braces, quivers, etc.). Its just a thought I had and thought I would see what you guys think.
-
Seems like it would be an interesting section.
I just wonder if enough people here are actively making enough leather products to keep the board busy.
-
it is a good idea.most people put the leather work on the primitive skills thread.i just put mine on here because it was holster for a gun.
-
I'm sure there must be quite a few of us that at least dabble in some leathercrafting. I for one am always cranking out arm bracers and other leather products for friends and family as well as some that I sell.

I know Cameroo could add some quality stuff to show off. I have one of his beaver tail arm guards. Top notch!
-
Pitch it to the mods or post it in the how To's and build along section.

I'm not into it, but it would be interesting. X's 3...

Well I know there are some talented leather workers here and it may help those that are interested or inspire someone who has never worked leather before.
-
I would massively appreciate a leatherworking section. I stink at it and would like to improve.
-
hummmmmmmmm,another section. ;) :)

I Think mcginnis gets a win!

I don't think there is enough leatherwork of PA to warrent its own thread but you should be able to find some on the How To section and even in Around The Campfire.

I do a lot of Leather Craft that would fit perfectly into Primitive Archer and would like a pure Leather Craft sub Forum and would be greatly encouraged to Post a lot more often than I do.
Perhaps us Leather Crafters should flood the Forum with "How To's" and Pics of our Knife Sheath's Quivers and other Leather / Rawhide Gear and force the issue

I've been a leathercrafter for more than 50+ years and now own shoe and leather repair shop, we even get orders from Europe for repairs. Have made leather props for movies so if any one needs help with something would be glad to help. The only prob is I can only get on line when my puter lets me ..

I hear ya Jacko.
