]Well I finally got the bow done that I worked on at the Tenn.Classic. It was a bow blank I got from Gary Davis. It is 58"NTN 64@25.It shoots quiet and hard. I put western diamond back on it. It does have about 2" of string follow. But still preforms well. Iam happy with it . I hope to kill a deer with it this fall. The arrows in the pic are some that I have made recently. Thanks for looking.

Looks like it will make some meat shooting like that! Congratulations on your first ;D

Nice job! Looks a hundred times better than my first.
-
very nice indeed. Congrats and best wishes on your fall hunts.
-
That one really turned out sweet lookin, for sure.
-
That is a fine looking bow.
-
Nice bow and arrows are sweet also. Looks like a deer this fall is a very real possibility if you keep shooting it like that. :)
-
There's worse things than 2" of set on a first bow. Congrats.....

Very nice work, beautiful bow first or last, that should do some damage on a whitetail ;) :) , it absolute amazes me at all the first bows that I see on this site. I think the selfbow craft is in some good hands for the future. :) :) :)

Nice work for a first or twenty first.
-
That's a dandy regardless of how many you have under your belt. Congrats & good luck.

Superb job on your first bow. 2 inches of set is not too bad for a bow that short with a stiff handle. It's doing some serious bending.
-
Two inchs of set is nothing to worry about its actually not bad at all for a first bow great job

Thank you guys for all of the kind words. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time. Thank you Pappy and Twin oaks for putting on the Tenn.classic. I had the time of my life. I want to kill a deer with everything I made this year.

Very nice first bow Whitefeather. Bring it when you come to the camp-o-rama.

Very nice looking bow! Enjoy hunting with it this fall! Words can't express the feelings you will have walking into the woods with "your" bow!

I remember seeing that bow being made. Spent quite some time watching the shavings and talking with Whitefeather, well at least while he still had his voice. Looks great chief, I'm glad to see you finish it. Wished I could say the same. I did work on my some today though. The knapping bug bit me at the classic like everybody said it would and well I'm just now getting back to the shavings and not chips.
Once again it looks great. Can'nt wait to see at next year's classic.

You have to take some credit for that, Pappy. It's down to people like you, Eddie, Pat, Jawge and everyone who takes the time and effort not just to post pic's of their work up here, but also to answer the many many questions, time and again from all the newcomers (no matter their age) who find places like Primitive Archer in search of that "something" they feel calling in the back of their mind. Without the "Older Generation" for advice, inspiration and information, we younglings would be swinging in the breeze trying to figure things out without knowing what to look for ;)
Whitefeather - that's a beautiful bow!! Gary's blanks are top notch material and you certainly did that one proud!! Be sure to send Gary a few pic's of it, I'm sure he'd love to see them.
