A friend dropped off a box and said heres some, One a Days. Under each item drawn in pencil is the shape that item is supposed to end up. Will post the results each day starting tomorrow.

Got behind on the One a Days. Broke the Mahogony Obsidian on the left, So tried the next one to the right. I think its flint. Anyway broke it while thinning. Did manage a decent piece left though.

Not a bad start, keep on knapping!!

Looks like you're doing just fine.

Looks like you got the right idea. Thin the base so you can get it on a stick. I agree w/ Tracy, good friend! dp

Ok broke another one but this on came out smaller than it was supposed to. The glass is next to
try tomorrow.

Having a hard time thinning the turtle hump on these small pieces. They are getting smaller, the more the hump is going away. Guess I gotta get bigger pieces. Maybe my friend knew this and thats why I got the package. I have glass to work tomorrow. We will see how that goes.

He gave you something to work on.
Two Classics ago sitting in the pit and listening while I worked I heard Flintwalker say something like this. "Not every piece of rock you work on needs to be made into a point. There's something to learn from every rock you pick up to work on." Sumptin like that, but it made a big impression on me and I have relaxed a bit and have even started working pieces with the mind set of learnin somethin and actually gettin a pretty good point. Just sumptin to think 'bout, keep it up! dpg
