was going through my stave collection and just as i suspected ,a light coat of white mold has formed on the lower part of most of them.they are standing on end as there is no way of building a rack big enough to hold them all.never worried about this when all i had was bl & hedge, but now i have lots of mixed white woods now. my question is ,can i wipe them down with something such as bleach to kill the mold? i plan on flipping them to equalize the drying process, but the mold concerns me.any input would be appreciated.

It would be worth a shot. You should consider a dehumidifier too.

Get some air moving in there!

Wipe or spray them down with chlorox and water. That will kill the mold. Air circulation will help the wood dry and help to keep the mold down. Keeping a fan on them will help.
