I like recurves and wanted to build this design for a long time and here it is. Its three layers, Osage, Jatoba and BamBoo with maple and purpleheart in the handle, overlays and inlays. I heat bent each layer before gluing. Its 60” tip to tip, 1 ¾ wide max, 55#@26”. It shoots great but I want to build another to see if I can get 60# out of that design.
I would like to enter it into bow of the month.

Very good. Markus

It's got "pretty" written all over it! You are making it hard for me to resist these modern laminates!

Nice work. Lovely design. Beautiful woods.
You have to be an active subscription holder for PA magazine in order to enter your bow in BOM. Send criveraville a PM for details.

Thanks guys.
Blackhawk, were you looking for a side view or front view? I didn't take any unbraced but I will get some in.
-
Both actually ;)
-
That's some really fine work.
-
Awesome! I can't imagine the time and detail that went into that one!
-
very nice work.

Here are two more views of the bow unbraced, sorry for the poor quality, I took them with my phone, I had a friend with a good camera shoot the first set. I will be taking the bow to Mojam this year if any of you will be there.
-
Thanks for filling the request ;)....if trying to win bom is important to you then posting a front view and side view unbraced shots is a really good idea...and it helps folks to know if your tiller is bang on or not, because to some folks the most important part of a bow is its tiller and won't comment unless they know for sure its right or not.....just my two cents of advice for ya...... ;)
Oh by the way.....nice bow ;)

Way to go John. Great looking bow.
