Title: Hill Country chert that's now lethal
Post by: GooseGossett on June 06, 2013, 06:25:06 pm
I made these two this afternoon and each had some unique character.  I think one is perds and the other is rootbeer.  The perds was untreated and worked well but for the life of me I couldn't get that calcified junk off so I left it.  Both will end up being on hunting arrows #4 and #5.

Nice.  I like the "real" looking points with little imperfections.   Seems more natural that way.

Very nice hunting points! I really like that Texas rock, especially after heat treat, super sharp & tough!
