Title: TX blade and 1 with nice color
Post by: Stringman on June 05, 2013, 08:44:45 pm
I think this blade is perds and I had to heat it some to get it to work. Thinkin about tying it to a turkey leg.

This point was a really nice colored creek rock I found with my normal Burlington. I heated it but it didn't change much, just got a little glossier. Might make a necklace from it.

Real nice work Scott! The last pic looks like a black bear outline in the stone.

Finished puttin a couple pieces together yesterday. After building this turkey knife I got to talking trade with someone and he picked it out of the lineup. So built an traded all in the same day!

I picked up some beads at the last reenactment I was at and played around with the whole necklace thing. Let me know where I could improve.

Too bad you had to trade that turkey hafted blade as it would have made an excellent elk skinner!  Joe

That's right 4dog, it's just waited on me to get my butt to the post office. Hopefully I can get it sent off today.

Joe, I've been playing around with that thought and came up with this little necker for removing some elk hide.

It's sharp, but only has one good side. There was some concavity on the other side that I never could clean up.
