I thought I would start a post and see if everyone wanted to post some trail camera photos. I'll start it out with a few recent ones.

Does anyone else have any pictures to post?
-
Looks like a pretty good game trail to me!! :P

-
Those are some cool pictures.
-
Cool pictures, keep um coming,I have a couple ,guess I need to put them out somewhere. :)
Pappy
-
Here are some from a couple of years ago that were passed on to me via the biologist. There is a road kill beaver bait station to confirm the presence of bobcats in IN. ;) I've considered using my classroom budget to purchase a few for the students to do a project with when we study ecology.
-
Very cool pictures so far!
Tracy

I haven't had a camera since I left Arkansas for TN but I used to run em religiously on a wma back home. I hunted this buck for 2 years. Had 3 different encounters with him. The last of which I had him under my tree at 20 yds but I couldn't get a clear shot. One of the best bucks I've seen out there in the bayou :) (http://emob1320.photobucket.com/albums/u523/harrisonbows/photo_zps2d64627c.jpg)
-
Cool Post Clint! W/ my ding dang ol dial up, though, I have to wait all day to see all the pics. Need to take a trip to the public library soon. Will's did show though, nice AK buck. 8)dpg
-
Uh oh! This is as much fun as looking at my own pics. Turkey, Bob cat, and bucks oh my!
-
Here are a few I got the other day(night). The first is Flossy. She is a resident doe and obviously read to drop a fawn. (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y199/PatBNC/trailcam394_zps674957a0.jpg) (http://s5.photobucket.com/user/PatBNC/media/trailcam394_zps674957a0.jpg.html)
The second pic is of a guy waiting for Flossy to drop her fawn.

-
UH Oh, how do deer fend off coyote when birthing? And do the yotes go for the fawn or just the afterbirth?
-
Check out the series "North America" it's a beautifully filmed program and they just had a segment about a coyote trying to make up it's mind as to wether it should follow the scent of the newly birthed fawn or go after the mother that was pretending to be limping away.

Some guys found their buddy's game camera and decided to take the card and 'tweak' one of his pictures for him...
Strange beasts in those woods!!!
-
Tracy, those bobcat pictures are awesome. I would love to get one on camera. I've seen two on our place over the years.
Pat, the doe around here are just starting to have their fawns. Hopefully yours out smarts that coyote.
I pulled my card today and got some good pictures.
A healthy buck

Really nice pics Clint! I may have to purchase a few primos for the classroom.
Real good idea for this thread!
Those bobcats are not too far from your area and they were all three juveniles.
-
I like the Primos camera. The night shots can be blurry if there is much movement. But for the price I can't complain.
-
Does anyone else have some trail camera pictures to post? I'm going to try to change my card tomorrow so hopefully I'll have some good pictures.
-
I'm guessing the closer to season more folks will have pics. Seems like the bucks here in IN this year have headgear earlier than normal from what I've seen.
Tracy

I don't own any trail cameras myself, but I know a local guy that builds his own using higher-end cameras, and some of the pictures this guy gets are just unreal. If you want to see more of his work go to -www.monarchimages.ca/photos.html

Thanks Leroy

Those are amazing pictures Cam. I wish my camera took that quality of photo.
Nice pics Stoker. What kind of bird is that?
Here are some from this past week.
The first fawn of the year
(http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20CLINT-HP/New%20bow%20stuff/PRMS5686.jpg)
A spooky coyote picture. I'm not sure why its so dark.
And a blurry picture of a wide buck running by. He should be a good one this fall. Last deer season I saw a wide 8 in this same spot. I hope that it is the same buck.

Is it a magpie?
That's a nice pic of the skipper with the doe. Seeing quite a few early this summer.
The coyote is an eerie pic.
Tracy
-
Here's a few of my favorites. Haven't set mine up yet this year, Clint but as soon as I'm back from the weekend shoot I will. Great post motivates me to set it up. Have a few coyotes lurking around. Maybe I'll see them on film.
-
Looks like some healthy young bucks Matt.
-
Really nice pics Leroy and Matt!
Tracy
-
Osage, Tracy - It is a Magpie
Thanks Leroy
-
I got a package in the mail today from my daughter. I think it is a new trail cam for Fathers Day but won't know for sure til Sunday. ;D
I do have a series of pics I got a few years ago. On a trail that crosses the creek on my property coyotes took down a doe. I found it the next day and set up the trail cam. It is interesting to see who all benefits from a fallen and slowly disassembled animal over a few days(and nights). I'll round them up and post some here. It might be this weekend before I'll have time.
-
Pulled my card today and got a couple pics of a good one. Looks nice and fat. My niece video taped a drop tined buck in the edge of the woods by her house next door. I'll try to take a picture of it on the TV and post it. Its the first drop tined buck we have seen on our place.

-
Coool thread OO.

Nice, Clint

Great thread Clint! I havent set mine up yet this year but this definitely motivated me to get it done.

Get those cameras out guys. Share your pictures :)

How,bout two? >:D we can even carpool ;D
Nice pics Clint!
-
That is a great looking buck Clint!! This thread got me motivated enough to put my camera out but all I got pics of so far are does. Check out the nose on this one.

Looks like she's got a huge bot fly swell. Nice pic!
Tracy
-
That's weird. Tracy, are you talking about the nasal bot flies that Deer get? I didn't know they caused a swollen nose like that.
-

Nice pics Clint!
Ozzy and Tracy, if you get to hunt with Clint, find his stand and hunt escape route around it. Rumor has it, Clint shoots arrow into the ground to scare deer from under his stand. >:D
-
Keep them pictures coming! This is the third year this old boy has shown up. I hope to put his other light out this fall. >:D
-
That buck has some character :o Looks like he is adding some mass this year. Good luck this fall with it.
-
Ahh, he's a TOAD, Shannon! Good luck with him again this year!
I just set mine out a couple weeks ago and im starting to get pics off it. Try to get some posted soon. Keep them pics coming!!
-
That's weird. Tracy, are you talking about the nasal bot flies that Deer get? I didn't know they caused a swollen nose like that.
Yeah, doing research in the summers many moons ago I saw several deer like that and even had the pleasure of seeing one emerge from the bridge of the nose like that :P
-
I found one in a bucks nose while cleaning it for a euro mount. I can't imagine how irritating that is for a deer.
-
This guy has a little growing room, but he better watch his step come fall.

Why? Is Bybee gonna build a picket fence of arrows around him as a corral?
-
The cool temps this past week have brought all the critters to life.
I got a frontal view of the last buck I posted. He looks old.
At first I thought this was the same buck but the angle and length of his 4th point on each side are different than the one above. Plus his body isn't as full as the other one.

That's what I told him.
Thanks for not posting any of those pesky little basket racks >:D just kidding
Tracy
-
Tracy for every picture of a decent buck I probably have 10 pictures of spikes or little scrubs.
This one must have saw me hang the camera back up and was curious. This picture was taken less than 30 minutes from the time I walked out.
-
AWESOME pics Clint! Love that cat!! Looks like ya got yourself a nice spot there. dp
-
Pretty sure he's about done growing this year. Now I just gotta figure out how to kill him.
-
That's a gnarly old buck. Good luck with him this fall. I saw a buck in hard antler yesterday evening. First one of the year.
-
Stay to his right and you might get a chance at him. ;)
-
these pics are from a pair of mineral licks i have on my farm.
-
Here's 4 year old that I'm gonna try real hard to kill. I found his left shed from last year and would love to see exactly how much he grew from one year to the next. Only way I know to do that is kill him! :) I'd also shoot the other big 6 point too. He's 4 also.
-
Black bear from last year:
I've had the camera up all week at a watering hole, I'm looking forward to picking it up this weekend and will share pictures.
-
Those are some good looking bucks Mechslasher and Flintwalker. And that looks like a big healthy bear Hoarfrost.
I put an osage branch in front of my camera. The deer love to eat the leaves. That old buck stopped for a late night snack. He probably won't move in the daylight until around Halloween, but I'll be out there waiting for him.

Ooooooo doggie.............that's a good one on a lonely dark nite......
-
I moved my camera to a spot where my Dad got some good pictures last year. I'm glad I did. It looks like he is already beefing up his neck muscles. I just wish my camera took better moving night pictures.
-
very nice buck, the Clint. I hope you get him.
My deer aren't as impressive, but they'll eat well
-
Dave, I've seen the sheds from deer on your place. You have a monster hiding somewhere.
-
This is a buck that me and my Dad hunted two years ago. My uncle found this spot, and swore me to secrecy. So shhhhhh! >:D My Dad was hunting with his twenty year old Hawkens, and it was getting kind of finicky, so every morning he would fire some powder through it. This particular morning we didn't have time to drive to the range, so he just loaded it and we left. We got to the spot before daylight, and just after dawn this buck walks by at fifteen steps. I had never seen a deer this big. The deer had his head down so Dad pulled up and aimed.... Then SNAP! The gun dry fired. The buck was staring at us, and the woods were silent. After what seemed like forever The deer put his head down and turned away. Dad fumbled through our backpack, and put another cap on. The deer was looking at us now, so Dad pulled his gun back up. Snap! This was too much for the deer and he bolted through the brush. This is how my Dad's luck goes deer hunting, So close, but so far away. ;D
-
Mike, When I was younger that used to happen to me a lot. The dry fire. When I shot at the range I used powder solvent for my patch lube, and did the same when hunting. It took my Dad to figure it out for me. He watched me load like I usually do and said the he thought that my solvent/lube was seeping down into my powder as I sat and waited for the deer to come. At the range, we just loaded and shot, but in the woods I loaded and waited. Hence giving the solvent time to seep into my powder and wet it. Now I use spit. Could this be a similar case? Just a thought? Good luck this year, that's a nice buck, dpgratz
-
hillbilly and i just put a ladderstand to the far right of the pic, bout 10 yards from this muscidine vine, which is absolutely loaded this year. this buck is giving a perfect 8 yard broadside shot! the only down side is it can only be hunted with a NE, N, or NW wind which only blows about 25% of the time around my farm. Mullet might even be able to hit one of these does at 5 yards.
-
That buck has a healthy looking body. Good luck with it. Or are you going to save it for Mullet fling arrows at?
-
I think this one has potential ;D
(http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20CLINT-HP/New%20bow%20stuff/PRMS0039.jpg)
-
Clint, that last photo looks just like the kinda buck I usually get. They come around and stand right under my tree just after I miss the big one. ;D
-
I was thinking the same thing Greg. :) :) Nice deer guys, guess I should put out some trail cameras but I really like surprises. :) I ant going to shoot anything
less than 18 inches anyway,That's length of the back strap mind you. ;) ;D ;D
Pappy
-
I moved my camera to a trail just inside the woods by my house. Our season opens Oct. 1st and I don't want to disturb them to much. I might put it back out once the rut kicks in.
-
>:D My Dad was hunting with his twenty year old Hawkens, and it was getting kind of finicky, so every morning he would fire some powder through it.
Mike Joe. I have hunted Black Powder since 86, b4 I load up I snap 4/5 caps with the muzzle pointed (in a safe direction) at a blade of grass, leaf anything to see gas moving through. It seems to keep my rifle firing when I need it. Hope this helps. Good Luck getting that nice buck! Ed
-
This one made me laugh ;D

Yeah, it is funny.
Something startled him.
Kevin
-
Looks like he's eating green persimmons!!
-
I think you are right Greg. I tasted my first green persimmon a couple of weeks ago thanks to Danznbar :P and I made that same face.
-

Ha!! With friends like that. . .
-
Now ..........I think we warned ya ::)
-
Hey Danzn Bar, could he whistle afterwords? ::)
-
Here is one that I've been watching for a while....I think I'd fling an arrow at him if he walked by. But, I've only seen him during the night, but it's getting closer to when he'll be out of his head and moving around during the day chasing does. Maybe then.

That's a stud right there! Hope you get a shot at him Dbar.
Pearly might be interested in adopting that heard of raccoons in the background.

Cat in right side of bottom pic is kind of hard to see.

Awesome pics B&R. That cat picture is cool. I'm glad we don't have those around here.
I moved my camera back to where I got most of my good pics. There is a big scrape under the cedar tree. I hope to get some big bucks working it.

I put my camera back where I have got most of my best pictures. There is a scrape under the cedar tree right in front of it. Its been out for about a week. When I pulled the card today I had 522 pictures. I hoped to have a few good ones. Most of the pictures are of a dumb flock of hens that stop in front of it every day and fix all their feathers. I did have a lot of action on the scrape.

Nice Buck right their! This was a great idea Osage kind'a fun to pop in once in a while to see whats in other folks necks of the woods. Been awhile since I looked at this post though and I see I missed a ? from criveraville, yes cougar it is have four pics of them over 2 years. Guess its time to skin the cat >:D
-
Its only been a few days, but I hunted near my camera so I swapped cards out on my way by. I'm glad I did. This guy worked the scrape over pretty good.

looks like you have some good genetics on your place. Have you seen any 5.5 year olds?
Nice kitty too.
This morning saw a red fox road kill on I-71. had the wife in the truck with me and she didn't want to turn around to get it. :(
Was up around you area this morning Clint. Madison, In.
DBar
-
Bill, I'm not sure if any of those are 5.5 or not. My Dad killed an old buck a couple of years ago. Going by tooth wear it was 5.5+
Madison is still an hour away from me Bill. You should have stopped and picked up the fox. It would have made a nice quiver.
-
Nice photos there Clint. That 10 is an impressive animal! That 8 aint too shabby either, for that matter. Im gonna have to get a trail camera or two and start some long range scouting myself.
-
I was glad to see we have some bucks that survived gun season. Some are in better shape than others.
