Title: old pocketknife maintenance/repair
Post by: sonny on June 02, 2013, 06:49:55 pm
I have an Old Timer 340T same as this-
(https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRMYftDVnn3m7n7hJ6a7BWNK4WOEu6tAxSSSD1F8ty1UfaL3OtE)

but that smallest blade is a b**** to open. I haven't carried it for some time and now I remember why.
It's not that I'd use that smallest blade all that often but I'd sure like to be able to open it when I want to
use it. I've cleaned it up. I've oiled it..matter of fact I doused it in some Break Free gun oil in hopes of
making that blade a little easier to open. It feels as if that "spring" is too damn tight.
any suggestions ??
