Title: Turkey painting
Post by: DirtyDan on May 13, 2013, 06:46:06 pm
Hi, everyone.
I wanted to show you all one of my recent oil paintings that I have completed to be used as a raffle item for our South Ga Traditional and Primitive archery club. I tried to capture the mood of a beautiful early Spring morning as a gobbler flies down off the roost.  Hope you like it.

Been there, done that, and it still has my heart tripping!  Flydown time is magic time!

Looks good to me, I like it wish I could paint like that. If I tried to paint that same Tom he'd probably look something more like a sage rat with wings :o ??? ;D

I like it! Dan, I call that time of the morning, "the witching hour", when everything gets real quiet and all you hear is the wup, wup, wup of the wings before the crash.
