How y'all doing. This is my latest bow. It's 46" ttt, bendy handle osage self bow. She's pulling 50 lbs st 25" with self nocks. It has a 1" handle going to 1.75" at the fades, runs parallel and tapers to 3/8" at the tips. This stave had the prop twisted, which took a lot of time with the heatgun to untwist. The design was drawn on the back with a primitive sharpie and sealed with several coats of true oil. The handle is scrap leather glued on with gorilla glue. Truth be told I could have spent more time with the finish, but I can live with it Its the sweetest shooting bow I've made. No hand shock, and a nice smooth draw and fast. Thanks for looking. Feed back is welcome and appreciated.
Forgot to mention the tips are flipped and it only taken about an inch of set.

Thanks Rich I haven't hunted in years, after I went into the Army lost interest snd now that I retired cant afford hunting lease in Texas :o but I can see how it would be easier to maneuver in the bush and imho they are easier to make >:D

I made the handle 6" long I think if I would've shorten it hy an inch or so it might have stiffened it up a bit. But thats okay, learn something new with each bow....and each one is getting better.

There you go, getting all the bend out of that one. Looks good

Nice! I think the tillers fine, it has to bend hard in the handle to get that kind of draw! Most impressive.

x2 I think you have every bit of that one working. Looks great and that is an impressive draw for that length bow.

Cool little bow. That's a good tiller and don't think otherwise.

Very impressive work. I am starting to like those short bows more and more. Now i just have to work up the courage to start one.

Very nice bow. You are getting a lot of bend out of that piece of wood. Good job!

That's funny.
I am really starting to like the looks of these short bows. It seems like it would be a great bow for the Oregon woods.

I think the key is to keep the limbs as wide and flat as possable.

What a cool looking bow. I dont know why, but The design you did on the back is appealing to me for some reason, I think it is hypnotizing!

I reckon that a sinew layer or two will get you to 26" . Nice bow and good tiller

I had thought about doing that but I dont have any.
-
Than maybe a rawhide backing . Doesn't have all the benefits of sinew , but it works and isnt a pain to apply . If not than just keep that back burnished like crazy . Dude ! Get some sinew and hide glue !
-
Beautiful bow, love the art work and tiller looks very good also. :)

I wanted to try something new, I did a rawhide job on my last bow 50" camo molly. I really wanted a self bow this time. Funny thing this bow is faster than the 60lbs molly. I'm thinking that the rawhide and camo cloth added too much weight to the limbs of the molly. I've use hide glue but no sinew... that will change once I find a source. Thanks Pappy, ifbi ever get as accomplished a bowyer as you ill be a happy man 8). Smoke I was the same waylast year. Make one, post it and learn from any mistakes. The guys on here are more than happy to help a fellow boywer out.

nice job...and I dont think it bends too much in the handle....the bend looks equaly distributed...to me
