Title: Backyard haul
Post by: Bryce on April 30, 2013, 08:15:06 pm
Well today I spent an hour or so gathering up a few pieces of Vinemaple for a good buddy. Snagged a pair of billets for myself :) I think there might be a character stave in there somewhere.
Anyways, I love Oregon and all it's beauty and bounty of bow wood.

Yup, can't beat getting out into the woods. The bluebells are just out over here :).
I think a chainsaw is cheating.. you should use a bowsaw, flint axe or a beaver on a stick ::)

Way to go Bryce! That's going to make some awesome bows! You have to love that vine maple! Man you have quite a backyard! It's amazing how much Oregon and Washington are alike. Your backyard looks just about like mine.          Dale

I like my VM with a little character, but still relatively tame. Anyways time to add to the collection....
Some stave, and some yew billets on the end. And a couple pine and fir arrow bolts :)
