Jake and I went and cut some HHB to swap at the Classic this afternoon. The sap is up enough to clean them up with a draw knife, but not enough to peel. Oh well, were done with it. I couldnt get to my best area, its under water. Thes are some good pieces all the same with a few knots to deal with, no biggy with HHB.

I have to wait for the waters to recede before I can get to the big stuff Pappy. These are 5-8" trees. Still great for building. I sealed the entire log with 3 coats of shellac, I may not even split any. I ll let the new owners decide where the bows should come from.

He is just under 6 feet tall Drew! Its nice having a primitive buddy to help me out.
If you wait 2 weeks you will be able to peel the bark off in large sheets right in the woods.
