Title: finishing question

hey all,
 i recently finished staining one of my older bows i never finished.  i have some polyurethane clear gloss, oil based. would it be good to apply this finish over the stain in order to give it a nice clear coat? thanks!

It should work fine but will probably take a while to dry. Give it a few days and you should be good to go.
