Well it's nothing fancy but still turned out nice I think. This was a blade I had gotten free as an RMEF member and it had no real handle, just the metal so I decided to practice the handle making on it as I am not ready to make my own blades quite yet.

I like it! What kind of wood is that?

It's Poplar with a dark walnut and pecan mix stain

Beautiful wood, did you just glue it on ? I don't see any pins. :)

Yeah, I used a 2 part epoxy, the pic below shows what it looked like before so I couldn't really do pins.

O I see. I have just had trouble with doing that, they always seem to pop of down the road.Hope you have better luck.Very nice looking knife by the way. :)

Looks pretty good. You could still go back and pin it with 1/8" brazing rod (that's what I use), even though it wouldn't hold the blade due to the large hadle hole, it might help keep the scales on. Carful drilling through the bottom scale, watch that you don't punch a big sliver out when you come through it. Put another piece of wood under it. Again, looks good, dpg

Thanks guys, I might try and put a pin in if for no other reason than learning how it's done.
