I have asked a few of the chuckle heads ::) on this board with no real answer other than winnie the pooh :P ...and clearly by its stance and lack of pudgy tummy it is NOT Winnie the Pooh >:( despite the fact that he always enjoyed a game of Pooh Sticks whenever possible :) ...how ever it could be Eeyore ::) ...but it not any thoughts? :-\
Seen in East Texas about a week or so ago from a game camera.

Marie, I cant see it clearly but it looks like an animal I saw about a month ago on Comcast news. A lady in Texas hit one with her car. The news cliip said it might be The Chupacabre.
-
maybe but could we be looking at it wrong? Could it be a hog? Here are some other shots from same camera...

Now it looks like a pig
-
Justin swears it is a racoon but to me the ears are too big and snout too long. It could be just odd shading with the light and all. The piglets are cute aren't they? ;D
-
Its not a racoon. Seen a coupla of them down here in the swamps way back. The other pics of hawgs are different animals......bob
-
I was thinking coon or quadi-whatyacallit!(sp) but now that I see the other pics, it could be a piglet. ??? Piglets are cute...especially with an apple in their mouth. ;) Pat
-
Pat do you mean a coati? That is what I originally thought it was....you know they say great minds...think alike ;) Justin said NO WAY they aren't in Texas but they are I just didn't argue...you know the whole fragile male ego thing... >:D ;D
-
Yea! coatimundy (sp) I know, we have to be careful with Justin's fragile ego. He could break at any point. :'( Pat
-
i told you already, its poohbear :) he just needs a bath after gettin into some bad honey :D
-
There is only one way to tell for sure. Shoot it and eat it. If it tastes like chicken its prob. something native. If it tastes like a taco prob. something from south of the border.
-
You guys need glasses That's Porky Pig. Here a better picture of him

See what I mean? Just a bunch of chucklheads! ::) :P
-
It's the larval stage of bigfoot. They shed their skin and metamorphosize at about 13 months of age, usually weaving a cocoon inside a hollow tree near water.
-
I'm with Marc on this one that is Porky. ;D
Pappy
-
No way its a racoon, my first impression was a bear cub but it also looks like a pig.
-
Deerhunter, NON, and Pat are the only ones who have been helpful here. Well so has Justin but we believe he is wrong. The rest of you.... >:(
Anyway It definitely NOT Pooh Bear or Porky. ::) (not to mention Bigfoot or Sasquatch) He is on all fours. Neither EVER walk on all fours! Which leads me back to Eeyore and Eeyore is known to watch his reflection in the water. If not Eeyore then it would have to be Pluto. But his ears stick up and Pluto's droop..but then again so do Eeyore's hmmmmm. :-\

CG: I think it's one of the posters from the "How weird are you..." thread that have continued to de-evolve. ;D
Chucklehead? Do I detect a female "Stooge" fan?

I just googled Texas wild pigs, and it brought up feeral hogs. The pics are exactly the same animal. Joel

You lie like a DOG. I said they are in Texas, just not real common. Maybe you should tell us what it is Marie, you wont be happy until we tell you it is what you want it to be. ::) :o ;D
-

When was the last time you saw a Bigfoot or Sasquatch much less the larval stage of one? Maybe it is and you just dont know what they look like in larval stage. Justin
-
This kind of looks like the same thing.

At least Justin knows his critters. Like he said, bigfoot doesn't become bipedal until it's in its adult stage. I bet Marie wouldn't even recognize a bigfoot egg. ::)
-
Bigfoot lives up here in the UP, we even had a researcher up here this summer looking for them.
He didn't even know that they hatch from eggs and have a larval stage, some researcher eh.
Maybe he was related to Marie ;D
-
Uh HELLO!!! >:( I have seen Sasquatch..even met him. He speaks like this...Oooga Booga me want this me want that, me like my fur coat!"" ;D

It is definately a wild hog see all the piglets following her, crossing the creek. Ive seen to many of these too know that it isnt anything other than what Ive descibed. All them little cute piggys are gonna grow into big pigs one day , Ive even taken wild hogs that were still young . I killed a guilt one time that weighed about sixty pounds and she already had four little pigs in her. They breed like rats and can have as many as two litters a year, parts of the south are being taken over by these durn things and they are in direct competition with the deer, in other words they are a bad deal , no two ways about it. Trapper
-
Heffalump?
Woozle?
-
Heh heh. ;D Most people wouldn't even realize that bigfoot eats pine needles and cedar bark.
-
It's a pig.And their ears will stick up when the heads down.
-
Definitely feral hog. I agree w/ Mullet and will add that it looks like it has a mud "mustache" from burying his/her snout in the muck rooting around for a morsel. I will say that the mouth area in this pic does somewhat resemble black bear but the ears and body proportions resemble the hog.
-
Good gawd ;D ;D.
-
pushmepullyou
-
I always wanted a pushmepullyou!!! ;D
-
Calandar Girl, have you been walking with Jamie in the " Grass " Fields? Couldn't see anything in the first pictures, but the last is a bunch of pigs. Marc was right. No where near a Coati Mundi. They are much smaller, and have long striped tails and long narrow snouts. Racoon? C'mon you need to go to the zoo for awhile......Yep the little piglets are very cute. And tender......
Stickbender
-
Stickbender I will send you a set of pharmacy bifocals if you can't see anything in the first two pics... :o
The last three are ALL pigs so I do get that it is the first one...Justin said he would roll in poison ivy all neked and bare if it wasn't a raccoon. Pat and I as well as another think it could be Coati and since Pat and I are both extremely intelligent individuals ;D I am sure that is what it is. ;)
But if it is a pushmepullyou as Butch suggested, I will be there this weekend and plan to trap it. I won't eat it if it is a pushmepullyou but if not I will and if it tastes like chicken then Hey that is great because "I love chicken...anyway you cook it! ;D"
PM me you address and I will get those glasses to you asap! >:D
