Hey all,how do you guys square up your cauls?
-
I make mine more rounded than square ;D
-
Set square??? Quite handy things!!
-
I cut mine on my bandsaw. With the table square, the cut should be square. Then I run the caul along my beltsander to get rid of the saw marks.
-
Screw another plank to the back side with the opposite bend. It will pull the two together and make a straight, square caul. Keep in mind what your doing with it. A little wave here or there means nothing. Straight end to end matters most.

Yeah,I don't have a band saw persay, only a hand held that I clamp to my work bench.that's a good idea P/D,thanks for that!
