Been working on some arrows that I though I'd post. First time for a two fletch arrow. They fly great and are pretty quiet in flight. Would like to hunt with these, but haven't tried broadheads yet. Has anyone used broadheads with this style of flech, and what is your experence?
The arrows are not as big as they look, just a real small shed of a young deer. :)
Thanks for looking

Thanks Trapper.............
koan, thanks for the comment, I'm not a knapper, but I would like to try some stone points some day. In the process of making some trade points.
Thanks again,

Nice looking arrows, Danz. I use 2-fletch for my hunting arrow with 2 bladed glue on heads. I like the way 2-fletch arrows lay in my quiver. I don't trim my feathers down, use them like the bird made them. They do make a little noise. But one arrow hit the ground in front of the only deer that's been close enough to shoot at, before the deer jumped. So I'd say they are quiet enough and fast enough.

Beautiful arrows. I really like that style of fletch. I used on one of my first set of arrows, and really liked them, definitely thinking about going back.

Good use of those turkey tails Danzn, really good looking arrows you made there. Heck yes you should hunt with those fine arrows.
Two blade, trade or stone points won't matter if mounted well and tuned in.
By the way, really tidy job on those , sure don't look like a first attempt at two fletch.

Total new guy here. Are those harder to fletch than the triple feather arrows? I haven't made any arrows yet but hope to soon.
They look beautiful Danzn!
-
DuBois, I think they are easier. There's no jigs to fool with. You don't need a feather cutter or burner. You can do a search here in "how to's and build along" to find several how to's on the 2 fletch arrows.
-
Nice arrows, what points are on them now? I used single beveled trade points w/ two fletch for a set of my hunting arrows. They are on here somewhere from about a year ago. Your's look great, I still like to crest too, dpg

Nicely finished!
I tried that on some tonkin shafts with trade points in them but for the life of me, I couldn't get the feckin' things to tie properly so I went and used my wing feathers with glue instead :(
Fair play to you for getting yours done, man!
-
I use secondary wing feathers for my 2 fletch. And I cheat by using super glue.
-
Thanks again for all the comments................
Badly Bent, Yea it's my first attempt, I reallly think their easier than three fletch.
That's right Hedge no jigs, tools or fancy equipment, just a little super glue :) and place the ends 90 deg appart. What would have the indians done with super glue, ::) I can't do without the stuff.
bowtarist, I've just got glue-on field points on them now.
Thanks again all,
Bill
