Everybody ready for the midwestern snow storm?Winter's going out with a bang I'd say.
-
July is the only month never got snowed on. Your probaly getting the one we sent down Se Alberta and Sw saskatchewan. Can't trust a groundhog.
Thanks Leroy
-
Snow? I got fruit trees and strawberrys blooming. Yall' keep that stuff up there.
-
What you southerners call a blizzard we in Canada call flurries. :P
-
I wish I would get snowed in so I could stay home from work and spend time tillering a bow! ;)
-
The weatherman kinda missed the forecast here in eastern Oklahoma. We were only supposed to get rain and ended up with 6 inches of snow today. And yes slackbunny 6 inches is considered a blizzard here. :)
-
My luck a freak snowstorm will blow up on me in mid_Iowa and strand me even before I get to Iowabow's place and I will miss out on getting to Tennessee for the Classic once again!
-
Just rain here[so far] We will send someone after yo JW. ;) :) :) and yes here in Tennessee 4 inches is a big deal heck if it's enough to cover the road it's a big deal. ;) :)

JW I think I would hitch hike if I were you before missing this Classic! :o :o
-
I hope it's gone when I get to Pocatello, Id. the first week of March.
-
Yeah Eddie
I'm sure you're flip flops wouldn't work well in 3 or 4 feet of snow.Ron

I like the cold and snow for a few reasons. It drops the humidity out of the air and makes building a good bow easy. And I like to chase bunnys around. I think we are only looking at 1-4" of snow up here, not much at all. Only another 6 weeks and we will start warming up.

Eddie: Be sure to check out the ShoBan store while you are there. They make some of the very best bead work! Its out on one of the Highways! Joe
-
JW....No problems about you getting stranded just wait a few extra days and things will change.
Wolfwatcher....Are you talking to me or someone else named Eddie on here?
Well I've got the chains on the tractor and love a challenge and winter like PD.I'll have to admit though snow and a lot of it is not as appealing to me as when I was a kid.It is nice just after say a couple of inches of fresh snow and at night how dead quiet it can get in the woods. We're expecting 9 to 12 inches I guess.Hard to say the wind will make the difference,& the weatherman a lot of times is a bit off on his predictions.
-
Oh yea last but not least. The tracks left in the snow tell you exactly how busy animals are around you.I always look for bobcat tracks myself. You southern boys will never get to know that experience very well but it is nice to be warm that's for sure.

Was trying to tell Eddie Parker about the ShoBans of Pocatello Idaho. As far as snow goes there are times when the drifts in our lane make it impossible to get out to the county road. I plow it out and the wind blows it in drifts. We actually need a lot more snow to make for a good spring run off. About the tracks: How about lion tracks in the yard, wolf tracks in the hills, and soon grizzly tracks as they will be coming out shortly! Makes for some fun horn hunting! Joe

Lions,Tigers, and Bears oh my.We got mountain lions here occasionally.
Well the storm turned out half as bad as the weatherman said.Just 5 inches was all.No wind.Like a day before christmas snow fall.People in Kansas City got a bunch though.
