Title: she got what she asked for...
Post by: johnston on February 16, 2013, 10:03:14 pm
Wife said she wanted a Dutch Oven for Christmas. Turns out she wanted the indoor ceramic
thing that I did not even know existed.

Would like to trade for a two burner camp stove or something else. Kayak paddle maybe. Open.

I thought you were on the right track, Johnston.  I like the version you bought.  I'll have to dig up a trade idea for you.  Cliff, my wife doesn't quite care for my dutch ovens either.  At least they don't cost anything!   >:D

Johnston, what would it take to trade you out of that little dog on the right with the whiskers?  I like those little dogs.  We tried getting one from the pound but he was already spoken for.  He had a raspy little bark that was as cute as could be.  We ended up coming home with a good for nothin' cat.

If Matt does not take it, let me know what you want for it in trade?

Thank you all for the replies and PM's. Matt was first and so he gets it.

Outlaw, that little critter has only been with us for 3 months but me and him
have "bonded" as my wife says so if you get him you're gonna have to take
me too. ( "What did you say dear? .....OK.)

Wife said make an offer.

Heck, even before they get to your peach cobbler outa the dutch oven, they would have to eat their way thru my Venison Bourguignon with pearl onions and wild morel mushrooms.  I can't seem to get it right in the home, but gimme a pile of firewood and I can score you some groaning bellies!

If my biscuits were worth a pinch of salt, I'd be worth marrying!

JW.  I think you need to bring a big old bag or morels to the Classic.  I will have my dutch oven there.  Never had those, but had heard they are the best.

Pineapple upside down cake is also excellent out of a dutch oven over the fire.  Mmmm, I can smell it already!

What ain't good out of a dutch oven so long as you have the two best sauces in the world...fresh air and woodsmoke!
