I made a bow for a carpenter I met on the job site. In return for the favor he took me to his woods and let me fill my van till it could take no more! This is only the beginning of what I could have. Most of it gets cut for fire wood. The shortest are around 60". Great rings on all. Also could not help my self and grabbed a hackberry. Nothing like 40+ new staves. Anyone close to Chicago and want to have a sapwood removal party? Or I will do it myself and keep it all for me >:D

Nice haul. Good rings at those staves too. I think I might cut some osage Monday if it isn't raining. I love cutting osage.

Hey Paul I'm near Chicago, Aurora actually. I'd come to the party with a draw knife in hand, heck I'd also bring some liquid refreshments
for refueling. ;) Looks like you got some fine staves, looks like black locust in the pics or is it osage?
