Hey in the woods behind my house ive found a carcass of a cow thats been picked clean by ants and what not only bones left. Are these bones any good to use for Knapping? sorry ive never knapped so idk if this is a stupid question but I thought maybe I could trade it to a nice folk on here who could use of it. I dont think the bones have been sitting there that long and the bones I found is the skull and ribs and some leg bones.

You can use bones to pressure flake , make notcking punches and the leg bones work as billets for Percussion work. Make sure the marrow is cleaned out. I would cook them in washing soda or bleach. You don't now why the cow died. And cut out doors with a breeze so you do not breath the bone dust. You can bone wood too.
