ok everyone here is a bit of fun that will unite us as a comunity, the plan is to have a bow which is sent around the world with a card and each recipricant will enter their name and some info about them (see rules below) the idea is you trade something for the bow then someone offers you something for it, you must accept the first offer for it. then you send it out and this happens over and over until a year from now when the item will be sent back to me and i will add to this thread. (see below)
here are the rules:
* you must ship it out 3 days within recieving it
* you must accept what ever is first offered to you for it
* you must put your name, date and country/state/town/ect. on the card
* you can add a picture of you and the item with the details above on the back of it (only if you want to)
* you must have fun.
even though i am starting this i don't have anything to really have a bow to get it started so if one of you would like to subit a bow PM me and ill send you my adress and ill set up the trading pakage. and after a year the bow will be returned to me and ill make a post in this thread a year from now with the places and the names of where it has been. i will then return the item to whoever submited the bow to me (if they still want it) if not then the bow will be auctioned on this thread where you post your biding offer if you do not wan't anyone to know that it is you bidding PM me with your bid and i will submit it as an anomynous Bid. the amount of money it goes for will be donated to a charity. if you have any questions PM me. ok whos gonna get us started?

OK two quick points.
First off, if you did a little research before posting this, you'll find that something like this was started before in the friendship bow circle by some of the original members on this site. From what I gather it did not exactly work out, and the bows/ staves that were sent out never made it back to their owners.
Secondly, and this is a big one, there can be no auctioning of goods on the trading post. using money on the trading post is a big no-no. It says it right on top in the rules and guidelines which I suggest you read, based on your last few posts on the trading post.
Just my two cents.

opps. ok maybe we won't auction the bow after all but simply just return it to it's original owner. and to stop people breaking the chain they can leave a reply saying "im in" and send me there contact info so if it does go missing we can track it down and see what happened. so if you are intrested then there is a new rule
*leave a comment "im in" and send me your contact info
hope that solves that problem and thanks for pointing it out.

so is anyone going to get us started?

I think the last one left a bad taste in folks mouth, and folks are stearing away from it. Also, theres allot going on right now, bow trades etc...
-
yeah i get ya. lets make it diffrent this time so that you sign up before it goes out that way it wont "get lost" and if it does we can track it down.

I think that's what they did last time. Still happened.

The Friendship Bow Circle live on! We are all still friends and the bows are still wondering around the world. When then children all arrive back home to the original owners they will be all grown up,,,,,,,,,,,mature adult bows,,,,,,LOL
In all seriousness I just got a call that two of them are headed my way soon, It has been over four years I think, The thing about these long haul things is stuff happens in peoples lives that just take time to work through. As long as everyone doing it knows understands and is OK with it. Too my knowledge no one in the Friendship bow circle has been out anything as we are all still wondering what process our staves are in, and what they will look like when coming home.

The anticipation keep us old timer's hearts pumping. Without it we would fade away. The Friendship Bow Circle has become a legand...and we are all still friends and laugh about it every time it surfaces. When these bows are ready for us they will distribute appropriately. 8)

Brotherhood of the traveling bows... ( a reference to an awful chick flick, sisterhood of the traveling pants that my wife MADE me, and I mean, secretly put super glue on my side of the couch, watch with her )
