Our group gets together on thursday nights here in Michigan. I am on my third self bow attempt. It's nice to have some experienced bow makers on hand to answer questions. We go beyond making bows as one guy has a dowel maker and we make arrows, atlatl's throwers and darts and I do a little flintknapping once in awhile. We are lucky to have a guy furnish a nice heated work area in this 9 degree snowy weather.

it is a blessing aye JEB. once in awhile someone stops in(including our own gun doc) and we break some rock. next week we are gonna do some arrow making.
one of our members got a dowel maker for the holidays and will be bringing it along with some hard woods to make shafts. one of the nice things is the shop is a working wood shop so we have access to woodworking tools when we need em-like ripping a bunch of 1/2" strips to make shafts with. yup, many levels of experience and just good folk makes it one of my favorite nites of the week.
