Maybe this will actually spur me to photograph it. For some reason I can't explain, I made it 1.5 inch wide, a little narrow, and I eeked out 47#. Pretty nice though. I have someone in mind for it thats looking for a lighter bow anyway. And theres alwayrs the other stave.

Dave, I'm looking forward to seeing your crab bow. I have 6" diameter piece of crab that has been drying for 3 or 4 years now and this winter would be a good time to try it. You know we demand pics! get on the stick! Pat

I;ll try to buck up. I recall pointing out in a post when I started the bow that it had a knot on the back with a bump about the size of a billiard ball cut in half. Actually, it was only like the outer quarter of a ping-pong ball. Funny how those things get bigger in your mind.
Wood worked pretty much like hickory.

Looking forward to seeing it Dave.The crabapple bow that was posted earlier in the year was some pretty wood.Made me want to drive to north Fl just to find some.
