I met a guy on the job site who told me that he had a small firewood business on the side. So I jumped right in and ask what kind of wood he was coming by. He said he was clearing a lot of osage for farmers (a new best friend). He shoots and hunts with a compound but he was very interested in stick bows. I told him that I would make him a bow so he could get his feet wet. This is a hickory backed white oak. 66 1/2 ntn. 54lbs@29". Glued up with 2 " of reflex now ends up dead flat after unstringing. A very smooth shooter and very forgiving. Should be a good bow to learn on. We will meet up in a few to shoot and cut some wood. I turned him on to PA website and the other day I asked if he was on lately and he said its been a few days since he was on! He will be hooked when I am done with him and all his osage that other wise would be firewood!

Great tiller and unstrung profile. I also really like the way the grains stands out on your finish work. Way to reel in another victim!
