Would anyone be interested in an osage log at the Tenn. Classic? Or maybe a half or quarter log? I don't think I'll bring to many staves to trade, but I could cut a few trees and let someone else do the spllitting and bark/sapwood removal. If you are interested let me know what you are looking for.
I could bring my splitting tools and help you get it down into staves.

Wow! I bet this gets a lot of hits.

Wow, 'hawk. Tell him what you really want and don't hold back! I'll help split and remove sapwood just for the heck of it. Be glad to.

I don't need any hackberry Hawky boy. Its everywhere here. I've got some 4 year old staves but haven't touched them. Every time I start a bow I can't quit usin' the yeller stuff.
I did cut a special piece of osage just for you today. I'm not sure if you will be able to make anything out of it, but it will be fun watchin' you try.

Yes Sir Outlaw!
I'd be interested in a Sage Log.
What are you want/needing for one?
A 7 footer of 6 to 8 staves worth, don't have yo be Fat Ringed but I wouldn't turn a Fatty down...
Look forward to meeting ya in person there at the Classic!
:)

You know what you can do Clint!...... Bring me a 10" log, no smaller and possibly 2" larger. No longer than 72" long. It better be very good if Im driving so far past your house to get it. We can talk business when I see this "log".
-
Pearly, my memory is failing me at the moment. With MT, do you want thick rings or thin rings ;D I'll start looking for your log right away.
-
I wouldn't mind one. I've never worked osage before, but I hear a few people like it ;). What are you looking for for one, and if you don't mind me asking, do you know the exact dates of the classic this year? I really want to go. I'll probably be toting a white wood bow however. They're fun though anyways.

Gus, you have got to be an osage addict. You have got to have osage bows to the roof by now, ;D.
-
I'm going to put a hault to this offer for now. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew so to speak.
-
Clint, I hope you have a knuckle boom truck! ;D
-
I hear ya TooMany...
But the Truth is I wind up gifting most of my Good Straight Osage staves.
So I have to replenish my stocks as I can...
Plus, Can You Really Ever Have Enough Osage? :)
