Hey all...here is bow #1 of 4 done over the holidays.....woulda had 5 but one didn't cooperate with me....lol. The rest will prob be posted this week if I get time...
This is a 55.5" R/D osage from spliced billets from a male tree cut about 2 1/2 years ago. Its 44@26"....16.9 ounces....walnut and zebrawood handle and tip overlays. Good lil blind bow.

I love your R/D bows. They're not over the top r/d making the braced profile look like a triangle. The walnut and zebra wood look GREAT together. The contrast in grain and texture of those is awesome. I got get me some zebra wood.

Only 4 or 5? well I guess we all have slow holiday seasons ;D I still can't get over the quantity you can put out with the quality involved... nice job , can't wait to see the rest

Yeah Thad..it was a slow season..I was expecting to have a couple more done..oh well..there's always next year lord willing ;)

Like this one a lot. Looks to be a shooter. Not sure what that white stuff is all over the place though.

Very nice one with character.Looks smooth to pull on too.Excellent turkey bow.Like the finish work also.This is 1 of four and from peeking at 3 of them earlier they're all different in designs and types of wood.All under 60".Thanks for sharing.

Blackhawk, how long do you heat that handle area before putting that deflex in? Dry heat or steam?

Carson...the deflex in this one was done by splicing billets together in deflex like Marc does with a lot of his R/D bows n such....the one piece staves I do deflex at the handle is done with dry heat....osage responds and bends the best imho for that kinda heat manipulation.

I do believe that'll work! The handle and tip woods compliment the bow nicely! Josh
