Hey guys!
merry x-mas. i was wondering if someone could explain the recurving process to me and possibly point me in the way of a tutorial. thanks

I have been trying to get someone to tell me too for so long.

I steamed some recurves in a hickory bow and have used dry heat on osage. I rounded the end of a 2x6 off to use as a form. I'm no expert by no means. Maybe somebody else can give some tips.

Have a look at the How To's & Builld along section, read back more than one page. Its covered with pics and all you will ever need to know about making recurves.

Lmao hahaha see!! This is the response i always get. I have spent a lott of time in the how to section. No one ever really explains the process, just "then i recurved the tips"

The main thing is to build a form. Then once you have your form you either steam/boil/or dry heat the wood to be bent. There's tons of info out there on this subject. You could even try more creative searches on google. Seriously tons of info....
