Title: The Witchery of Archery
Post by: Dave 55 on December 10, 2012, 08:43:37 pm
I was reading the post on the witchery of shooting and of course I started to think aabout the real old timers,Will and Maurice Thompson after the civil war in the south east,Art Young going polar bear hunting with a selfbow and killing one with it when people thought they were toys.Howard Hill in HUNTING THE HARD WAY and Fred Bear who if I recall right was 52 years old the first time He headed north, and lastly Bob Swineheart who was the real deal taking the Big 5 using only a laminated longbow, lots of real cool history in the past.

Yes, those are some good books.  I love how they make you feel like you're right there seeing all of it firsthand.   I may have to pull a couple of those off the shelf.
