I'm not talking about diet and exercise :P. I'm talking about leaving a bow that pulls 50 lbs at 30 inches in a not-so-insulated garage for 6 months and coming back to a bow that pulls 43# at 30 inches. 7 lb loss, I suspect due to moisture pick up. Lesson learned. Trying to dry it out in the house now. Interested to see if it picks the weight back up.

Any chance you have access to a scale that reads in very accurate amounts, like grains or grams? It would be interesting to see what amount of weight loss (reduction in bow mass from water evaporation) yeilds weight gain (increased draw weight).

That's a good idea JW.
I do have access to scale in grams. Unfortunately I didn't weight the bow prior to putting it away. But I'll weigh it now and re-weigh it after a couple of weeks in a heated room.

I am making a display cabinet that will double as a humidor, of sorts, for that very reason.
