Title: Best Off-season Bow Storage
Post by: hedge on December 08, 2012, 09:38:30 am
How do you guys store your bows for longer periods of time?  Horizontal or vertical?  I shoot my fav. bow regularly, and the others seem to get losts of 'rest'.  I sure don't want the limbs to warp.

Mods --- Please feel free to move this post.  Not sure where I should put it.   Thanks

I store all my bows horizontal  for years now above a dehumidifier.I put a temp. and hum.guage on the rack then keep that at about 45 to 50 percent hum.and about 80 degrees constantly. No warping or other things ever happen to the bows.

Some are horizontal and some are hanging on hooks or pegs. Just depends on where I have the room...

Horizontal. In the warm living room.
Someone told me that if you store them vertically the mc will be higher in the top than the bottom......or was it the other way around.. I don't remember lol.

Horizontal. On a rack, away from sunlight or direct heat.
