Hi guys,
I have this Osage stave to trade. 47" long, it has been roughed out to 1 3/16" wide by 9/16" deep for a bendy handle bow. Has a wind check that goes all the way through (see pics) and a small check on one tip which probably has to be wrapped. It has no knots on the back, and is cleanly chased to one relatively thick ring (1/16" thick). I will be open to an trades just PM me. I just don't have the skill to get the highly stressed design I want out of this stave, and know others can do it justice.

What are you looking for.

come-on Rob, what do want that for - firewood? :)
-
That's what I'd have to use it for because I haven't found the talent for the short ones yet. Go for it Rob

Looks like a little heat and training, along with a couple coats of sinew and someone has a killer Lakota horse bow.
-
That looks like my ratty wood. I can send a different short stave if you want? Send that one to JW...

Hey George,
Thanks for the offer. I am all set for now, but I may have to take you up on that offer come spring. Thanks.

Chicken... ;)
If nobody trades for it, send it back. I'll straighten it, put a couple courses of sinew on it, and send it back to you.
