Title: Bingham Takedown Recurve - High Temp Masking Tape
Post by: jvermast on November 17, 2012, 06:19:27 pm
Has anyone ever had a problem with the Binghams Masking Tape not wanting to come off the Glass of a Recurve? Just did my second limb for a takedown and the tape seems to not want to come off at all, it's almost solid for some reason.

Can I just sand it off by hand slowly and re-polish the glass?

Hey there, welcome to PA. The 'Bows' section here is limited to bows made out of natural materials. Sometimes people will talk fiberglass in the 'Around the Campfire' section. An administrator will likely come by soon and move this to that section so don't be offended.

You'll have better luck posting that question over on tradgang on the bowyers bench. Lots of glass guys over there that will help you out.

Use acetone, aka, fingernail polish remover.
