Title: Osage for a friend.

Here is a bow I built for a friend in Mic. it is 51 @27 68 tip-tip and 66 1/2  n-n. 1 5/8 at the fades
to mid limb and then tapered to 3/8 at the tip.It has 20 year old Osage tip overlays and shoots great.I hope he likes it.Like a lot of the Osage I have had lately it had a hump in the mid part of the top limb and made it tough to tiller,done the best I could and keep the weight he wanted.If it had been for me I would have cut it down about 4 inches and think I could have got it all out but he wanted it 68 so it will have to do. :)It has a little character but he didn't want much,can't
figure that one out but to each there own. :)

That's a real beauty Pappy, pretty piece of osage. You're stiching work on the handle is fantastic!

I've seen that one in person...a really nice bow!  But we've come to expect that from Pappy haven't we? ;)

Your too hard on your self, Thats a great looking bow. I bet at 68" she draws just soo smoooth!

Thanks guys,yes Chucker it is real smooth and shoots great,hope he don't like it and sends it back to me. ;D

I agree Marc,but he is use to a HH and thinks he wants it long.I tried to talk him into 64 but
he didn't want to hear it. :)

We all hope to be your friend. Plus some of us also live in Michigan.. :D Really nice bow Pappy. Maybe it will have too much character and he wont like it all that much. Yah right!!!!!!!! ;) ;) ;)

Sweet!  ;) does it have any thump in your hand? 68" is pretty long for osage.

Thanks again,Ryan it dose have a little more than some but I don't think after he is use to shooting a HH bow it will bother him.The last one of them I shot it would jar your teeth. ;D

Wish I had a friend like you!  (actually, I do...snedeker sent me a very nice hickory bow earlier this year!)
