Made this one for my cousin. Another "long" one at 58" ntn. 47# @ 26" draw. Copied the pattern from a Choctaw style bow and used my choice of colors. Had to take out some twist and make some side to side bends but actually turned out to be a good shooter.

I like these shorter bows you are turning out Jon.

I love the unbraced profile as well, and it shows just how excellent a wood black locust is. Black locust is my second favorite wood,it has great cast in it,and its under utilized in my opinion. Nice job Jon.

Nice one, Jon! Hmmm, I don't think I got any cousins like you. Some folks have all the luck!
-
I love painting my bows. You did a great job! Is the artwork traditional, or your own design?
-
Shagadelic dude ;D I like!

I like it a lot! I've never painted one, but might have to consider it. Tiller looks good!

Great lookin' bow - stands real good un-strung. BL is a way underrated bow wood.
-
Nice bow. Never tried black locust. :-)

You guys and your black locust bows lately, now I have to go cut a tree. Sweet bow.
